Currently reading: The Italy Letters by Vi Khi Nao
Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely never been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference. And it comes out on August 13th! Dearest readers, I most highly encourage you to read it.
Recently read: My iPhone Screen Time average notification.
I should have stayed curious.
Currently watching: Arrested Development and House of The Dragon
Officially declaring publicly that I’m a huge Game of Thrones and House of The Dragon fan. Absolutely devastated that we’re going to have to wait two years for another season.
Currently listening to: “California” By Chappell Roan and On Being with Krista Tippett (Podcast)
I’m suffering from summertime sadness, unfortunately. But I’m also in my spiritual inquiry, science, social healing, and poetry era thanks to Miss Tippett. I’d take a bullet for you, Krista.
Interesting snippet of something recently: Saw Kyle MacLachlan at the Chelsea Flea Market a few weeks ago. Lisan Al Gaib, Trey MacDougal.
Opinion: When it’s raining, and you have an umbrella, and you are walking on the sidewalk, and there’s another person walking towards you; if you do not lift up your umbrella so you both can continue to walk seamlessly, you are a problem.

Currently reading: The Years by Annie Ernaux
I know this won a Nobel Prize, but I’m taking serious issue with the formatting so far. No chapters; no sections even?! My brain needs structure, Miss Ernaux!
Recently read: My bank statements for the month of July. Ouch! Also, Catcher in the Rye, which I had somehow never read before. I found Holden Caulfield to be very relatable. His underdressed activities in NYC reminded me of my many nights walking home in tights this past winter. Oh and the melancholia, loneliness, and misdirection, but let’s just focus on the tights.
Currently listening to: Charm by Clairo, especially “Second Nature” and “Pier 4”
I’m sure that none of you have heard of her; you’re welcome. Actually though, this album is to me what Miss Rachel’s songs are to my nieces. Tantrum? Put on Charm. Had a nightmare? It’s already queued.
Interesting snippet of something recently: *I too saw Kyle MacLachlan, albeit on Instagram and not real life.*
More importantly, I was robbed of fifty dollars by Cerebrum.com, aka, I was tricked by their confusing choice of words and accidentally bought a subscription. They would not refund me. Now that I’m thinking about it, maybe that was the final portion of their IQ test… Another scam I fell victim to was paying to see Kinds of Kindness, which I walked out of at two hours and forty five minutes. Nothing could have made me stay the last fifteen minutes. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look at Willem the same.
Opinion: Cerebrum.com should give me my money back!

Recently read: I just finished reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I had never read it before and had only seen the movie once or twice many many moons ago (I was fifteen and probably high). It was a beautiful book and I hold a very warm and special place in my heart for Charlie.
Currently watching: The Last of Us
This show is going to ruin me in the best and worst way possible. I heard that the trailer for season 2 just dropped. What I didn’t realize was that it isn’t actually being released until 2025?! I’m just torturing myself at this point.
Currently listening to: Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye by Bettye Swann and also Charm by Clairo
Bettye Swann and Claire Cottrill can do no wrong.
Interesting snippet of something recently: I cut my hair and everytime I look in the mirror I get a little scared, a little overwhelmed, and a little bit more vain.
Opinion(?): I’ve always loved the rain – the smell, the comfort, my rainy day playlist. But the weather can hold so much power over my mood and emotions. Then I’m wondering why I’m sitting in my room with the lights off, blankly staring out my window watching the water run down the road.
